i recently did something like this on my own.

That's a sweet mod! Where did you tap into the turn signals? Parts list? Nice job - thanks for sharing!

Not bad at all, wouldn’t it be easier to just put in ions? I mean for a budget, that’s actually a good way to go!

For those who are wondering, they’re the Whelen MirrorBeams; replaced the OEM one with this recessed fender cover which has Whelen ions sitting in them. Before you ask, no they can’t be bought separately. Whelen won’t sell it that way; have to buy the whole kit but comes as a set with your choice of ions. Pricey but worth it IMO. I have them installed and they’re worth it. Really rare to find.

It came with 3 wires connected. 1 for turn 1 for headlight and ground i just T tapped each wire accordingly to the back of the wires coming out of the harness of headlightst/turn signal. It was easy.

It would be easier and hell of a lot nicer. But, those lights are not cheap at all. I spent less than 20 bucks for this whole project. The lights were like 14.bucks and the resin my wife had already. i dont want actual flashing lights these only flash orange when you use the signal and stay on white when headlights are on. Overall im impressed with how they turned out..

Gotta agree with you there, the ions aren’t cheap at all. What you did was actually awesome, I’ve never seen one like it, and I’m liking it, especially when on standby mode (white), that’s sweet!

What is the purpose of a white side light?

To be honest i could have left it amber, but where is the fun in that? I like the white light because in thinking safety people will see it and i am hopefully less likely to be Tboned and i will. Be seen at night. Truly a safety thing. I had empty spots and figured its probably the best for the cheapest and it was fun to try ti make it.

I'd think amber would be a lot more visible for anti-t-bone purposes...
