2018 SHO Door alignment and fit & finish.

Post by Ruzarski » Mon Dec 03, 2018 6:07 pm

I have a 2018 SHO and the 2 passenger side doors stick out about 1/8 of an inch. Has anyone else had this problem and how was it fixed. I am bringing it to the dealer on Thursday and would like to tell them how it was repaired in the past.

Thanks

I have a 2018 SE AWD. This is my third Taurus. The fit of the doors and hood is terrible on this car. My others were fine. I have the same issue with the doors sticking out about 1/8 to 1/4", but on mine it is both front doors. It is like they just slapped the car together on a Friday afternoon. LOL.

there's an old saw/old wives' tale that you should never buy a car that's made on a Monday or Friday - some swear by it.

in days gone by i seem to remember you could read the build date off of the Monroney sticker, but nowadays that info is found on the mfg plate inside the driver's door.

you could also ask the salesperson to have the ordering mgr at the dealership to look up the build date in their ordering system.

now with robots i think day of the week build doesn't matter so much.
