Changing wheel Size?

Post by Buzzard36 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 1:05 pm

I own a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited with 19" wheels. The speed odometer is seldom with the actual mph. The odometer usually shows 1-2 miles faster than I'm actually going. If I wanted to replace all 4 wheels with 18" wheels and tires, is that possible? An added reward for smaller tires is a savings between the amount of money paid for the 19" tires as compared with the cost of the 18" ones.

yea, no problem - you can see a list of all OEM wheel offerings for the 2013 taurus online. 18's are probably the easiest to find used.

Actually, you can set your wheel size in forscan so that your speedo/mileage is most accurate

Yeah i just picked up a set of 18in rims for my summer tires for about $60 each from a couple salvaged yards. I bought the car with the boring 17in rims which work great for my winter tires. but i wanted something that looked better, next step is tires and making sure my speedometer is right.
