New owner of 07 500

Recently got a 07 500 164k miles with the F21 Aisin.
Whats some major preventative maintenance i can do to this car to keep it feeling smooth?
I planned to change oil, oil filter, air filter and ATF at the same time.
I'm doing research online I come to the conclusion I should use 5W30 oil for it being year round Michigan driving. I planned to use Mobil 1 extended preformance high mileage and the same corresponding oil filter.
For the ATF I wanted to do Toyota type T-IV but I'm also hearing Valvoline maxlife multi vehicle full synthetic is a good choice.
What's the best method to perform a full drain(not flush) of existing ATF?

The Aisin 6 spd auto tranny in the 2005-07 Five Hundreds takes a specific fluid. Motorcraft part number XT-8-QAW (Ford Spec: WSS-M2C924-A). Mobil ATF 3309 also meets this spec. I have read, but cannot confirm, that Toyota T-IV also meets the spec. Easiest seems to just buy it from your Ford dealer.

My suggestion on the fluid exchange would be to do multiple drain & fills at a relatively short interval. This transmission has a drain plug in the pan, so no pan drop is necessary. My experience is that you will drain & replace about 3 1/2 qts each time.
