Brake Job time 2011 sel

Post by buckshot721 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 10:20 am

45,000 and already needs brake pads, getting all the parts together. Reading up on the calipers, some manuals say 2011 SEL have the screw back pistons. And another say just push pistons back. Does anybody know which type they are? No problem ether way, just want to have everything ready to do get the job done.

New brakes at only 45,000 miles? My 2010 has 89K and still has plenty of life left in the original factory pads. Do you do mostly stop & go driving?

Yes mostly stop and go, rotated the tires the other day noticed there is not much pad left. It's my wife's car, I only drive it when it needs some thing!

Webbrook - the rear calipers are known to stick. I recently had to replace mine as well. They stuck at highway speed; wasn't fun. Same with my 2012. I'm not sure if it's a design problem or what... they seem small in the back IMO.
