2013 Taurus Limited Factory Amp Location

Post by Aet3co » Tue May 09, 2017 1:56 pm

I was wondering if anyone can tell me where the factory amp is on this model. I want to install preout converter to install a sub amp and I'm trying to find the best place to tap into the rear speaker wires but I don't have speakers in rear deck only the rear doors. Any help is appreciated.

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't seem too hard but there are so many pieces to remove to get behind the dash.

If you have the non Sony stereo system it does not have an amplifier. You would have to catch the wires at the back of the cd player which is known as the ACM. It contains the am/fm receiver, Sirius receiver and CD player. You could also try to get the wires along their run to the speakers.
