2008 Ford Taurus. Shifting gears hard warning lights going haywire no power when put in drive

 This car is going to get myself or my entire family killed if this problem should act up while getting on a major busy highway. I75,I77,I64 etc. if this should lose power trying to enter highway from exit tamp. As many times as it is been reported to forward I can't believe it has not been resolved yet. After I signed up for this long I could not find the forum for these problems but there was several other problems that were the same exact same. Says I have to have an appointment to take the car in, it's usually straightened up and driving right now then. And it might be another six months before it acts up again but I'd say on a regular basis it acts up every 3 to 6 months for a day or two. This is exhausting trying to find someone to fix it and get the wrap fix without getting charged to put it on computers to be told the computers not not been able to pull code because the car is now driving right, bring it back when it's Acting up. However when you call him when is acting up they can't get it into look at it. This is happened three separate garages why is there not a recall for this car? I am disabled and not in a situation to buy a new car at this time. But I hate having to take a chance on my laugh every time I get on the highway. Especially when Ford knows his problems and existing for a wow and they have done nothing to resolve the issue. I need a reliable car in to get me back to my doctors appointments and my treatments at this time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and look into this for me.

 I made an appt for the car to put on computer at the Ashland, Ky dealership. They came out and said their computers are down to check the cars. We can wait to see if they can get them back up. Seriously? I cancelled my day and took my time for this! So frustrated with Ford!

It's an unfortunate situation but honestly there's nothing we can do to help you here. The only next step is to hook up the car to a scan tool and see if there are any diagnostic codes, and also watch live readings from sensors. That is the next step, try another dealership or qualified independent shop. If you feel that strongly that it should be a recall issue, talk to Ford and the NHTSA because we have no way of helping in that regard. Good luck.
