Rearview Camera activation using ForScan?
Did anyone ever succeed at activating the rearview camera function on a non sync PI using forscan?
What value needs to be changed to activate it ? I'm trying to compare ab files but I'm having trouble finding what I need to modify
My VIN ( Base '13 PI ) 1FAHP2M88DG205272
Other car found equipped with rearview ('15 PI) 1FAHP2MK8FG178508
Here's what I have :
<bad photo link>
I found this info on the F-150 forums which seems to be using a similar display:
Basic Sync w/4" Display
7A5-01-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx Reverse camera disabled DanMc85's findings
7A5-01-01 x2xx xxxx xxxx Reverse camera enabled
Now I'm not sure if it's the same for the tarus so I haven't tried it yet
Thanks!

Was this confirmed to work? I've tried using the "decoded" menu to enable it, and nothing worked.
Don't want to mess with the hex values if those values weren't confirmed to work on a 2013 PI

You can give it a try and see. If it doesn’t work, you can always restore it back to its factory hex key. Just remember to write down the original one before you change it.

What do you mean by "blue screen until 5+mph forward"?
And do you have the wiring diagram for what pin takes the video input? I've only been able to find the diagram for the aux input pins.

No I dont. I have a 2013. "Dumb" rear view mirror in mine.
Re: Rearview Camera activation using ForScan?
Well I was hoping to activate it and see the radio display do something and give a "camera not connected" error or similar.
Which would then justify spending the 200-450 on a 13+ camera.

I have a 2013. It doesn’t show up on the radio. It shows up in the rear view mirror. Also, I have a camera in the bottom of the ford logo in the trunk
