Bypass A/C clutch? 2006 Taurus

2006 taurus se Vulcan type. Can I bypass the frozen pulley and just run it with out ac? What else must I unhook. Someone said something about a fuse or plug... Where is that at? What size belt should I use? Help!!

Go to rock auto and get another ac pulley. They aren't that expensive. You shouldn't even need a pulley puller. If you do borrow one from Autozone. Is the compressor frozen or just the pulley. Unhooking a wire will not fix this problem. The compressor does come on when you use the defroster. So if the compressor is junk than there is a wire that engages the magnet in the pulley clutch. Just unplug that wire that comes out from behind the pulley. It's only a single wire.
