Ford's prewiring for the interceptor sedan

Post by RJR » Tue Jun 21, 2016 4:49 pm

Hello all. Name is RJR and I am the proud owner of the 2016 "Special Services Police Sedan". Its for personal and fire dept response use and I'm digging it but have some things i could use some help with.

1) the harness that ford put in for all of the emergency lights, I can't find where the end of the wires are so i can use them to connect to warning lights that i need to install. 2) the "aux" buttons on the steering wheel, i cannot locate where they come into play. I assume they are (-) switching but I don't know where i can plug int the harness. The car came with grill lights, headlight flashers, corner leds, rear deck lights, trunk lights, and a whelen cencom siren controller.
These answers would help me out a great deal. Thx in advance for your help...

Stay Safe Everybody
PS I'd post a pic of the new ride, but i don't know how to

Hi, welcome. To post a pic, click "Post Reply" down below the quick reply box. From there you will see a spot called Attachments underneath the text entry box. Click on that and choose "Add files" to attach pictures.

Let me guess, iPhone? Weird how they show up upside down sometimes. I don't get it but that happens sometimes. Only way I've found to avoid that is to zoom in on the picture on your phone, then take a screenshot (hold down home & power button at same time). Then upload the screenshot. That would work right every time. Some weird Apple bug, it does that for iPad pics too.

Fords wiring is garbage. Run your own.

Here is the link for the pdf file from Ford Technical Manual for Police Interceptor Wiring. Includes everything you asked about in your initial post.

The 18" ones that came with the car stock. I had them powder coated. I want to go back to the silver center caps though.
