I'm curious, is this vibration being seen in only the AWD models or FWD models also?

I have a 2014 FWD Limited. I have the vibration problem as well. Balanced several times, rotated. New tires and now new rear rotors and pads. Still have the vibration.

I am NOT surprised - I have done the same for years!! I have had this 2014 Taurus for 2 years and the problem was noticed very early in life! - at 1300 miles I had the car in the first time and many times since. Car now has over 50K miles. Did have a left front wheel bearing failure at about 25K, was hoping that repair would have fixed the vibration issue - NOPE!!!
Still vibrating down the road and the dealers can't seem to fix it and FoMoCo apparently does not have a fix in place - YET

I have a 2015 Taurus limited, $35k car and was told the same exact thing. " These cars do that" if that's the case give me my damn money back and I will go buy a GM product! Vibration still exist after 5 times in the dealer! We bought the car only to find after a week of ownership that there was a leak on the roof that stained the headliner on the top left rear of the car behind the left rear door! Guess what, it's in the shop now for the 5th time and ford told us to keep taking it back to the dealer! Really! [email protected]$dging piece of fudge!

My car is vibrating over 45/50 mph. We have purchased new tires, got front end alignment, rotated tires and it still does the same. I feel this is a manufacturer problem. Brakes and rotors are fine. Please help

Have your wheel bearing hubs checked. Also change your front sway bar end links (aka stab links), as the Taurus eats those for breakfast. Inexpensive for those on RockAuto. Buy the nylon lock nuts you'll need too.

don't know about the above fixes - my car was "brand" new 1000 miles and had this problem. was at numerous dealerships and the issue was NOT resolved. don't think that the swap bar links were worn in less than 1k miles. FoMoCo should be writing a TSB!!!

Yeah, I can't say my 2012 or my 2013 I drive now has ever been without vibration at highway speeds. I just had all new brakes put on all 4 (dealership), and sway bar end links (dealership), and had my new Blizzak tires rotated/balanced and a 4 wheel alignment at my "other shop of choice." Guess what...still some vibration. Sadly, I've learned to live with it, but we shouldn't have to. These are expensive cars, and should not have this as a characteristic of the vehicle. TSB? That would be nice but I wouldn't hold your breathe...

Owned 2013 SEL since new. Around 40k a little vibration. During maintenance, dealer checks, as usual finds nothing. At 50k, get new tires, and same vibration. Dealer checks suspension and drives to find nothing. I am now on a mission. Over next 10k miles, I replace front brakes, rotors, hub bearings, half shafts, end links. Replace rear brakes, rotors, shocks and end links. Today removed drivers rear hub bearing, and installed one I saved from front since they are same. With wheel up, feel nothing. Strip down to hub and spin,no noise but feel slight drag-catch in bearing.Take for ride and vibration gone. Joined to try and help others who are told that it was normal.

And yes, you need a lot of heat to get that bearing to free out of spindle. My CV slide hammer went thru spindle hole and I put on old spindle nut, washer, and slide hammer nut. Within 15 minutes, it was out.

I just recently bought a 2017 Taurus Limited. I am experiencing the same problem mentioned here with a vibration beginning about 50mph and getting worse the faster you go. I have had it back to the dealer twice and they have balanced the tires, swapped tires and rims, put vibration analyzer on it, checked out the alignment, supposedly checked the toe. They are telling me it is the nature of the car and it's just the feel of the road! I don't buy that. I had a 2012 Taurus SEL that went down the road just fine. Has anyone come up with a solution.?

NOPE!!! I am at 95K miles now and second set of tires and still the same. I do believe it is the nature of the beast (car). Sorry to say. I was hoping for some service fix on this, but never happened

I have been told to check the toe. Mine is at the dealer now and they have gotten a new vibration machine. They have ordered new front axle shafts. At least they are trying to fix it. Will let you know how that turns out.

Well I got my Taurus back on Saturday 4/7. All felt good up until about 30 miles. Vibration is back again. Hoping it’s just a weight on the wheel. I’ll be calling the dealer again on Monday!

Hoping that's all it is. Somehow, with all that I went thru, I'm guessing that the vibration IS back. Sorry to say.
again - please let me know the out come.
Thank you.

Yes the vibration is back. It did have a bad tire. It felt ok for awhile then same old thing. Took it to a tire shop. They didn’t find anything. Now its making a flat tire sound every now and then. Going back to the dealer again!!!

Found out the flat tire sound was the cowling on the front. Very possible that had been the problem all along. It had actually came so loose that it was dragging on the ground. They reattached that and I can say the vibration is way better.

I am happy to report that we figured out the problem with my 2017 Taurus. It was the front coupling. It was so loose that eventually it broke off a bracket and it had actually been dragging on the ground. Once it was secured properly no more vibration.
