I have also found this...
AdvanceTrac Control & AutoLamp Delay-13-18 IPC 720-01-03 XXXX-XX*X-ZZ 0 = Disabled, 8= AdvanceTrac, 1 = AutoLamp, 9 = AdvanceTrac w/ AutoLamp
Thinking this adds them to the settings menu...

The Taurus spreadsheet at:
https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?res ... cRixqVIJWM
It's under the IPC tab.

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
I just changed the switch. On all the time. No reprogramming yet. Probably won't either. Saves me coloring the sensor with a magic marker to get the lights to come on when they should be coming on.
Worst thing that will happen is I replace a bulb more often?

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
OK, here's the solution, at least for 2016.
Changing 726-12-01 from 0000 000F to 0101 000C enabled auto lamp on my 2016 sedan.

@Joh150413;
Thanks for that info - I can verify that it works on my 2014 PI as well. I already had the sensor and I did notice that although I had the standard manual switch originally, my ETIS as built data dump showed my build included the auto headlamp feature...

I'm looking out for the UPS guy with my new automatic switch. Sounds like my Thursday project, will be nice to have auto headlights.

I tried this on my 2013 PI. It does not work for me. It actually disables my rear brake lights and only lets my third brake light function. Has anyone tried this on a 2013 PI yet or if this happens to anyone else?klrsmith wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:40 pm@Joh150413;

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
My info says 720-01-03 is where you can add options to the cluster for both advance trac and autolamp. However, earlier in the thread, it was said that all you need for a 2013 is the switch and for DTRL to be enabled. I have done the DTRL, but not the autolamp addition. I have a switch, and hope to install it this weekend if I'm not snowed in.HotHouseBoar wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 5:03 pmI tried this on my 2013 PI. It does not work for me. Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
I'm confused. I replaced the switch with the new one and changed the programming, making the 3rd digit in the second group a 1. I wasn't sure what Advancetrac was, so I only chose the Autolamp.
720-01-03 XXXX-XX*X-ZZ 0 = Disabled, 8 = AdvanceTrac, 1 = AutoLamp, 9 = AdvanceTrac w/ AutoLamp
When I flip the switch to the last position, the autolamp and start the car, the headlights are on. It's not dark out, so I would assume they would not be on. I did enable DRL, but only the turnlamps and not the headlights. Shouldn't the headlights only come on when it's dark out and not all the time?
A good thing, is they do shut off when I turn the car off and walk away. But always on probably is wrong. I looked in the menus to see if there was something there too but not the case.

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
I’m having the exact same issue. I switch the third digit and my car rejected any number. I tried the method with the bcm but that disabled my brake lights. I do think it made the sensor functional however.PFFCO wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 3:19 pmI'm confused. Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
hmm, I didn't check my brake lights. I have a 2014 PI. I'll have to go check them. That would suck not to have any brake lights.

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
update, I checked and have brake lights. But the headlights come on when you start the car, but do go off when you turn it off. Maybe I have a bad sensor?

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
For reference on my 2014 PI, the ONLY change I made was to 726-12-01 from 0000 000F to 0101 000C (and the check bit at the end as indicated by AsBuiltExplorer). This change was in the BCM module, not in the IPC module. I didn't change anything in the 720 (IPC) range.
Hope this helps.

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
I don't see 726-12-01 in the spreadsheet at all. I guess it shows up in the programming. How did you determine it was that line to change? I thought it was the IPC module change for sure.klrsmith wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 9:06 amFor reference on my 2014 PI, the ONLY change I made was to 726-12-01 from 0000 000F to 0101 000C (and the check bit at the end as indicated by AsBuiltExplorer). Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan
It wasn't in the spreadsheet, I looked for that address that Joh150413 posted earlier in the thread for his 2016, found it in the BCM module with FordScan made the change and tested to see if it worked on my 2014 - hint: it did
