Sync Speaker Mic

Post by PFFCO » Wed Jan 16, 2019 7:09 pm

Can anyone take their ceiling mounted mic out and post a photo of the wiring. My mic is not working, when I took it out, there were 2 splices there and 2 of the wires were in one butt connector, and I think it was repaired wrong. I can buy another mic, but wanted to see what the wiring was like on a working unit.

Thanks.

Someone out there must have a ceiling mounted mic. I'm trying to avoid having to buy a new one, if the wiring is screwed up.

I can't figure out why they crimped these, and why 2 of the wires are in the one splice. Speaker mic is very very low and no one can hear me.

Thanks for taking the time to do so. I appreciate it so much. I've looked at diagrams but didn't know how they had things connected. It looks like they are only using the Red/white connections and no shield at all.

I think mine is hooked up wrong, shorting the 2 out together.

I can see red/black coming out of the ceiling. My plug has different colors on it, like they tried to replace it with a different one maybe and I don't have what looks like a trim ring on the ceiling that it snaps into. In using ForScan, It shows it as an open when I disconnect it, which is helpful to know the wiring must be ok. I'm thinking I just need a new mic perhaps. I have no audio on it at all.
