PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
Has anyone successfully added key less entry to their PI's? I wanted to see if anyone has done this on their own. I will be testing this more in the next few weeks with Ford IDS and I will be sure to update.
Thanks for any input.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I added keyless entry without the IDS program/dealer programming. This is the easiest and cheapest way to enable factory keyless entry.
DO NOT PAY FOR THIS ONLINE! THE DEALERS WILL NOT DO THIS FOR YOU. DON'T BUY FROM
PI MOD SCAM SITE
** This is the route to go for these modifications! don't buy any hexed .ab files from online vendors. The Ford dealers will not apply them most of the time and it will end up costing you their hourly rate! **
This was done using FORscan: (you will need to register and get extended license)
http://forscan.org/download.html
OBDLink MX Bluetooth Scan Tool:
https://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mxbt/
and a bluetooth enabled laptop.
The changes are at 726-18-01 and 720-01-03
The values are changed from non-keyless enabled to keyless enabled by doing the following changes:
**IF ENABLING REMOTE START+KEYLESS, SKIP EDITS BELOW FOR 720-01-03 and PERFORM THEM AS LIST UNDER THE REMOTE START SECTION.
keyless enable 2013-mid 2014 Sedan Interceptor:
726-18-01 - Change to --- 0100 0006 4D
720-01-03 - Change to --- 8088 0000 33
keyless enable end-2014-2016 Sedan Interceptor:
726-18-01 - Change to --- 0100 0008 4F
720-01-03 - Change to --- 8088 0000 33
keyless enable 2013 Ford Utility Interceptor:
726-18-01 - Change to --- 0100 0005 4C
720-01-03 - Change to --- 808A 0000 35
remote start 2013-2016 Sedan Interceptor
726-19-01 - Change to --- 0148
720-01-03 - Change to --- 8088 00C8 33
Plus required part:
BT4Z-19G366-A Ford OEM REMOTE START SYSTEM - HOOD SWITCH KIT
(install at front left side, pull the black plug and install the switch with the factory harness)
Order at:
http://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com
after writing the edits with forscan factory keyless (remote strart) will now be enabled. I used cheap aftermarket keys for now, see (or below for remotes/keys) viewtopic.php?t=19345. The system works as if the car was ordered with factory enabled keyless entry. There are also other options pre-programmed in FORscan to enable honk locked confirm (double quick lock) and flash lights to confirm locked/unlocked to go along with the above edits.
Program remotes:

Thank you to the FORscan team and ClockWorK (http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_A ... mpare.aspx) please consider donating to them!
checked: 06/2018 - remotes/keys
base aftermarket: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262141333130
with remote start option enabled: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291805409367
both of the remotes are confirmed working with the Sedan Interceptor/Taurus.

If you don't know how to use FORscan, don't make any other changes other except what is listed explained above, you can damage you vehicle if you start playing around!

Nope, I have not had the time to test, but plan to in the near future. Glad you enjoyed the free info. Please don't buy modded .ab files from any online vendors!

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
Just to make sure I'm completely clear - on a '16 PI sedan with factory keyless, the only thing I need for enabling the remote start is the proper transmitter key, and the hood switch? No actual programming changes through FORScan?

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
no you will need to get that enabled either with IDS or forscan. you cannot just drop the hoodpin in and it works. I haven't tested any cars to find the bits yet, but i will do that soon for you guys. If anyone has IDS please message me so we can expedite this. you will also need the keys i posted in the past, with the remote start button.

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
Right, I've got FORScan and have already successfully changed the DRL settings, added the AWD gauge, etc. I'll get the key & hood switch ordered and anxiously await your results...

How do you program the key (transmitter) for KE and Remote start on a '13 PI with a chipless key?
Thanks

I know this is the Taurus forum.
First of all, OP - Great Work!
Anyone think this could work on the Explorer Utility?

Re: PI Sedan/SUV keyless entry with remote start retrofit
I just wanted to update something in this thread - I found that the "4D" for the last hex set was used on the 2013 PI Sedans. It seems every vehicle I've checked that is '14 or newer with keyless remote entry from the factory has "4F" for the last set of hex on that line.726-18-01 from: 0000 0000 46 to: 0100 0006 4D
No idea what the one binary bit difference really is, but I'm going to program mine with the "correct" value for the 2016. Line 720-01-03 appears to be the same still from 13+ onward.
