2012 Taurus SEL-Water droplets inside left rear tail light

Post by taurus1 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 9:24 am

Noticed water droplets inside left rear tail light about 1 month ago.
Despite no rain in past 2 weeks the droplets are still there and never evaporated.
What should I do?
Is there any way to dry out the inside of the lens or prevent more moisture from getting in there?
How does water get in there in the first place and why won't it evaporate?

Welcome.
Some moisture is normal. The lights have a vent to help the air inside the lamp equalize to the ambient air. (see below) You might try blowing a hair dryer on the lens carefully to clear the moisture.

Where are the vents on the lamp assembly?
Do they ever get clogged?

Don't know where they are, sorry. How hard are they to pop off? On the Flex it's just 2 bolts & the wires.
