Taurus Front end on a Five Hundred?

Post by wchain » Wed Jul 22, 2009 4:07 pm

Some of you guys saw my thread with the 08-09 Taurus tail lights on my Five Hundred.

I was thinking today, would it be possible, to easily put a 2008-09 Taurus front end on my 05 Fiver?

My local salvage yard has a 2009 Taurus Limited that was smacked in the right rear, but the front is amazingly intact.

I would need to swap:

Hood
Fenders
Grille
Header Panel
Grille
Bumper Cover
Lights

Has anyone done or thought about doing this?

I have swapped front ends on my trucks before, but that only involved header, lights, grille and bumper.

Just wanted to see what everyones take was. I like the Fivers front end, but I like the Taurus front end as well.....

Should be pretty simple! Same car with just a few cosmetic changes.

I don't see why you couldn't do it. I have done it with a VW jetta and VW golf and was just a swap over. Also looked nice.

Good idea...That stuff would cost quite a bit even from a salvage yard and it would make selling the car when your done rather interesting.
