type of oil

going on a road trip tommrow, everytime my wife gets it changed she put in some super expensive oil, usually $80 bucks for the oil change, Is she getting ripped off or coaxed into oil she doesnt need.

what type should I be putting in..

I have a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL

Probably done left. Do you still have the owner's manual? It'll be in there. I have two Ford products, '05 500, and '12 Escape. Both use Motorcraft Super Blend 5W20. Even an '09 Focus SES used the same oil. Got the oil from Walmart or Meijer. I do my own changes. That's my 2 ccents worth. What oil is being used?

At $80 she's probably over-paying. Those types of places love to up-sell and if you are not aware you can be easily sucked in. Follow the owners manual, it covers the oil spec.

I got the 5W30 Motorcraft synthetic blend yesterday with a Wix filter for $40 but that's also doing it myself.
2013 Taurus SHO PP, mostly stock, AEM air filter, tinted tails, needs more!
