Dorman 46035 is the part number for the rubber pcv elbow I used on the Vulcan ohv.

Re: 2006 Taurus rough running issue

Is it a Vulcan ohv motor? If so, check the rubber pcv elbow that goes into the intake. Just went through this on my mom's 2003 Taurus. She had a stuck lean bank 2 sensor 1. Replaced it, code went away, but car still ran like crap. She had a bad leak on this elbow. Used a Dorman replacement part for ...

Re: Ford 500 brake slider pins

As Rob stated...the larger hole is on the bottom on each side. Along with the pads, I replaced the sliders, slider bolts, rubber tips on two sliders, slider boots, abuttment kit, and caliper mount bolts. I will post the part numbers later today if I remember. My old slider bolts wanted to cross thre...

Re: Ford 500 brake slider pins

Had to respond to this thread again...just changed my rear pads and re-learned what I previously experienced. This time around I took more time. It appears that one of the holes for the slide pins is larger than the other. I used this hole for the rubber tip slider

Re: 2014 Taurus delayed throttle response

Sounds like the throttle body didn't properly recalibrate. I would disconnect the batt for 20 min or so, reconnect, wait a minute or two before starting, start the car, wait a few minutes at idle, and then take it for a spin.

Re: Center Console Transmission Selector Lights

FYI...the lights on the shifter are connected to the neutral range safety switch from what I remember. Just open the center armrest console lid, grab the front part of the armrest console, and lift. The plastic trim around the shifter will pivot up and out. Then you can access the shifter easily.

Re: Center Console Transmission Selector Lights

If your 2008 Taurus is like my 2005 Ford Five Hundred (I think it is)...the headlight knob/trunk relase can easily be popped towards the back of the car. If I remember correctly, there is a tab on the left side and a tob on the right side that locks it into place. I may have removed the lower panel ...

Re: 2013 Taurus slowly losing coolant

I think it is probably normal to have some evaporative coolant loss. However, I don't think it is normal to have coolant exiting the weep hole.

Re: 2013 Taurus slowly losing coolant

The use of an internal water pump on the NA V6 in the Taurus, Explorer, Edge has steered me towards a NA inline 4 on the Fusion for my next possible car purchase. I currently have 293k on my 2005 Five Hundred (which still has the stock externally mounted water pump). I simply do not understand why F...

Re: Water leaks in both rear doors on my 2011 ford taurus sho

Your doors are made to let water pass down through them. However, your doors should drain properly. The problem is that the drain holes are behind the door seals and get easily plugged/sealed by the seals. On my Five Hundred, I simply flip the seals with my foot after each rain and watch them drain....

Re: 2001 for Taurus gas fume leak

Evap purge control valve leak perhaps? Or leak in evap line? I would buy and install a new purge control valve...usually they are cheap and easy to replace.
