I changed the plugs on my Duratec earlier this year. It wasn't all that bad because I didn't totally remove the intake. I just unbolted it, and moved it a few inches out of the way. I didn't want to disturb too many hoses. In the end I actually had to unbolt the intake twice.

I haven't heard. But considering the platform is shared, I'm guessing it will be within about 2 years. I'm thinking the 2007 model will have a different or upgrade/option engine.

They are making darn sure that these cars go out without any problems. So they'll hold them to make sure any known issues are resolved. They really need an excellent release. Time will tell if the release is a success.

IMHO, you don't buy hybrids solely for the MPG improvement. You also buy them to show support for "alternative" vehicles, decreased emmissions, and/or for a more environmentally vehicle. If you look at the Prius, it gets 71 MPG city (67 highway), and the next best Toyota (Echo) car gets 42 city (54 ...
