That's OK MrQuay. I have a question for you. We don't have WebTV up here so I have no idea what the site looks like for you. Are you able to navigate the site and forums alright?

Wow, I'm happy for you MrQuay. You are the first on this site to "actually" own a Five Hundred. I'd sure be interested in seeing photos. You can upload them to your gallery by going here: <old link>

IMHO, you don't buy hybrids solely for the MPG improvement. You also buy them to show support for "alternative" vehicles, decreased emmissions, and/or for a more environmentally vehicle. If you look at the Prius, it gets 71 MPG city (67 highway), and the next best Toyota (Echo) car gets 42 city (54 ...

Can you photochop some new rims on the car? Flashy chrome on black cars always looks awesome.

Yeah, it will take some getting used to. The only CVT I've driven is a Prius. Man I like getting 70MPG! The "shifting" was different but since I was expecting something "different", I wasn't turned off by it.

How much did you pay for your Five Hundred?

I don't care whether you want to tell the exact amount you paid, I'm just curious to find out if you paid MSRP, dealer invoice, or another amount. It seems to me that most cars sell for less than the sticker price. Sometimes quite a few thousand less.... but is that the case with the Five Hundred?

They're out! Good news. I'll have to take a swing by the local Ford dealers and see if they're around here yet.

Hey jutt. This info is direct from Ford: https://www.fordtaurus.net/specs/2005_m ... arison.php

Now we have conflicting information. We'll have to check these cars out when they hit the dealer's lots and see what's up.

Hi Kaje, welcome to the site!

Stick around, there's some good, knowledgeable folks on here. I can't wait to hear all about your car and see the pictures when you get it. I'm sure there are more than a few anxious future Five Hundred owners waiting for their cars to arrive.

New "Reviews" forum

I added a "Reviews" forum so we can keep all the Five Hundred & Montego reviews in one spot.

When you get a chance to test drive one or if you receive your new car, be sure to tell us all about it there:

I didn't say anything about Ford. Hey, if I start hearing about new Ford "Cobra Jet" engines, I'm going to puke LOL My biggest hang-up is that DC is beating "Hemi" to death. It used to really mean something, now it's a shame they're diluting it. IMHO Hemi doesn't mean anything anymore. And I even wo...

RoBi, welcome. That's possible, but I have a feeling Ford is going to stick to smaller cars as potential Hybrids, such as the Focus. It seems that the "foreign" auto manufacturers are putting in far more effort into hybrid / new technologies than "domestic" manufacturers. Ford, GM, etc., all seem to...
