I would bet ABS was an option. My '00 didn't have it, and my '09 Mustang doesn't have it either.

Re: 2005 Five Hundred A/C not cooling at idle

What about if you leave a glass of water in a cool dark room with no sun light? The water still leaves the glass and makes a dash for the clouds to be come rain later. Yes, a molecule of water is heavier then air and you would be right. But there are other forces at work, like air moving along and ...

Re: Possible bent connecting rod. Please help!

giff101, You screwed the pooch. You may want to look into a Jasper rebuilt short block with a guarantee. Why anyone these days would use Sea foam is beyond me. Carbon build-up is a thing of the past. RS Sea Foam worked a miracle on my Fairlane. I know old cars are a very different ball of wax, but ...

Re: I sold my 500...

Congrats on the new car! Sorry to learn of your loss. You will regret losing FWD (or was it AWD?) when the snow and ice of Canada hit in a couple of months. I don't think there is a better and safer car out there for such needs. Does it really matter that much? I never had a problem driving my '66 ...

The 3.8L is a great engine. There are 9-second 3.8L Mustangs running around. If you have a problem with your 3.8L, these guys have the answer:

50 percent are betting agenst.and this is not a sporting event. so is this in a repair manual or somthing ? It sure is...If you disconnected the emergency brake cables the caliber pistons would ratchet out and self adjust on there own. You are thinking of the old days of drum and shoe brakes. No, t...

Re: 2009 Mileage Contest

Now that I at least have a Ford, can I play? I took the Mustang on a road trip. Phoenix to Show Low, 24.1 mpg. Show Low to Safford (via Hwy 191) 31.4 mpg! Safford back to Phoenix 28.3. The Show Low to Safford trip is very mountainous and slow, I couldn't believe the mileage. 31.4 is the best mileage...

Maybe because it's cheaper and not everyone wants one.

I had a 2000 Taurus with the Duratec. That is a heater hose. I never replaced it and I'm glad, because it looked like a bit of a chore.

Re: He does not like the Honda Insight

I love this: And the sound is worse. The Honda’s petrol engine is a much-shaved, built-for-economy, low-friction 1.3 that, at full chat, makes a noise worse than someone else’s crying baby on an airliner. It’s worse than the sound of your parachute failing to open. Really, to get an idea of how awfu...

...And I bought a 2009 Mustang

Here she is.

Brand new '09 Mustang V6 deluxe (stripper) model. I picked her up for $15k, same as I got for my Charger.

This is my fourth Mustang.

You guys really like that? I can't stand locking gas cap doors. I'm not saying I would refuse to buy a car that had one, but it's certainly a feature I'm happier without.

Cheer up, in another few years they'll only cost $5,000. Another five, they'll be $1000.

Re: I sold my Charger

A variety of reasons, mainly looking for something different. I had some odd problems with that car. The A/C had an intermittent, minor problem from the time it was new. I took it to the dealer annually, and they'd fix something that didn't solve the problem or they'd just tell me they couldn't find...

I sold my Charger

At this moment, my daily driver is a 1967 Ford Fairlane. I'm in the process of acquiring a 2009 Mustang, though. I signed the papers over a week ago, but it was a demo car or something and has 1400 miles on it, and I'm making them detail it and replace the driver's seat cover. I should pick it up th...
