Re: Struts replacements

Just had mine done at 163k miles. Rode terrible. Great now. I put Sensa-tracs in it. I had a shop do it. They said the rears aren't bad, but the fronts were a pain. He had to drop the lower arms because they wouldn't swing away far enough to remove the strut assembly.

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

If the 134 isn't low, I'd still look at that switch or the compressor clutch itself. I believe that switch controls the high and low cutouts. The fans will kick on if there is a high overpressure situation to try and cool the refrigerant in the condenser. You might try tapping on the switch to see i...

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

That may be true. It may also be detecting a low pressure situation and not allowing the compressor to come on. That won't trigger the fans. I would gook up to some gauges to make sure you are in specs and then go from there. Like I said its the only switch I see in the system on the parts diagram.

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

Yup that's the one. My fans were coming on right after I started the car on warm days and I wouldn't have ac. As far as I can tell looking at the parts diagram that's the only switch in the system. Not sure if these cars have a switch by the accumulator.

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

My compressor wouldn't cycle if the temperature was above 70. Ended up being the ac cutout switch. I replaced it last week and its been working since and the temps have been in the 90's.

A/C Cut Out issue??

Has anyone had an issue with a bad A/C cut out switch? When the weather gets warmer my electric fans come on full tilt and the compressor will not cycle. If I shut the car down and tap on the switch sometimes I can get the A/C to work. Is this truly a bad switch or do I have another issue somewhere?...

You may be hitting the steering stops or may need strut bearings.

Re: Odd problem with power mirrors

My 2006 500 Limited has the same issue. I have 2 key fobs. The first one programmed is assigned #1 and will return the mirrors and seat to Preset 1. The 2nd fob programmed is assigned #2 and will use the 2nd seat preset. I've made both presets the same since I'm usually the only one driving my car a...

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

Thanks for the reply hvacguy. I've made an observation that when the engine cooling fans are on high speed, then I will not get any cold air. Apparently the high pressure switch is signalling the computer to turn on the fans and disable the compressor clutch. So the compressor won't even kick on. I'...

Re: 05 500 limited A/C problem

I'm just now having an AC problem with my '06 Limited. Sometimes it blows cold but never stays that way. I've noticed that when its not blowing cold air, both engine cooling fans are on and running at high speed sometime even if I just started the car for the first time that day. Is this caused by t...

Re: Engine mount shot

Was checking my fluids today and noticed the TRR is offset in the bracket and ripped. Does this mean the hydraulic mounts are shot and took out the TRR? I'm also getting a vibration around 1500 rpm no matter what gear I'm in and even in park. I'm thinking I have a mount issue but can't tell when a h...
