Bad coolant temp sensor? What is your temp gauge reading on the dash?

Re: 05 ford five hundred stalling

Dumb question...did you disconnect batt, wait 5-10 mins, reconnect batt, turn key forward (but not start) to allow for throttle body to sweep and recalibrate?

Re: 05 ford five hundred stalling

Was the car doing this before you installed new plugs? If not, the upper intake must not be sealing like it should.

Sounds like you have a leak on the upper intake to me.

Did they replace the upper strut bearings as well? I would guess this is your problem.

Re: 2006 montego hard shift.

Likely due to a bad transaxle roll resistor bushing. Pop the hood and look for tears in the rubber bushing.

My ford five hundred did the same thing when an oxygen sensor went bad. No cell for quite a while but got one for lean bank 1 eventually.

Vulcan? If so check the rubber pcv elbow on top of the intake. My mom's had a crack in it that caused the car to run badly.

Dorman 46035 is the part number for the rubber pcv elbow I used on the Vulcan ohv.

Re: 2006 Taurus rough running issue

Is it a Vulcan ohv motor? If so, check the rubber pcv elbow that goes into the intake. Just went through this on my mom's 2003 Taurus. She had a stuck lean bank 2 sensor 1. Replaced it, code went away, but car still ran like crap. She had a bad leak on this elbow. Used a Dorman replacement part for ...

Re: Ford 500 brake slider pins

As Rob stated...the larger hole is on the bottom on each side. Along with the pads, I replaced the sliders, slider bolts, rubber tips on two sliders, slider boots, abuttment kit, and caliper mount bolts. I will post the part numbers later today if I remember. My old slider bolts wanted to cross thre...

Re: Ford 500 brake slider pins

Had to respond to this thread again...just changed my rear pads and re-learned what I previously experienced. This time around I took more time. It appears that one of the holes for the slide pins is larger than the other. I used this hole for the rubber tip slider

Re: 2014 Taurus delayed throttle response

Sounds like the throttle body didn't properly recalibrate. I would disconnect the batt for 20 min or so, reconnect, wait a minute or two before starting, start the car, wait a few minutes at idle, and then take it for a spin.

Re: Center Console Transmission Selector Lights

FYI...the lights on the shifter are connected to the neutral range safety switch from what I remember. Just open the center armrest console lid, grab the front part of the armrest console, and lift. The plastic trim around the shifter will pivot up and out. Then you can access the shifter easily.
