Re: interior lights and puddle lights replaced with blue led

I miss the turning lights and onder why Ford chose to add what u refer to as 'puddle lights' which I dont get that name either. when your opening the door or unlocking it with the key fob getting in and out the car they illuminate the ground...

ScrillaNation, you said; I had problems with the throttle and to this day they still dont know why my vehicle rpms rev every time I change to drive or reverse. Filed a lemon law claim and won. just be prepared to pay $200.00 if you dont have a warranty. We have this same "rpms rev" issue. Please te...

Re: Advice on exhaust and air intake mods

Adding catback exhaust will not void warranty. Adding a different kind of air filter will not either. Just don't mess with the programming the computer to change ratios or anything dealing with the electric side of it. You will void your warranty if you do. Had a convo with a technician serveral tim...

If you get your windows tinted make sure the film is not dyed. It will not last long. $250 is the most I would pay for tint. Only make sure they use either 3m or Llumar tint is the best. Most of the other stuff is garbage. Find out how long they have been tinting. Do they do the back window in one p...

Re: Switching over from 19" to 20" SHO wheels - TPMS questio

Hello Everyone - new here. I just bought a 2011 SHO without the performance package so it came with the 19" SHO wheels. Really liked the 20" SHO wheels so I bought a set of new OE 20" wheels and Kumho tires along with the motorcraft TPS for each wheel. Am I going to have issues with the car not rec...

I have the same problem. I went to the dealer to ask them since Im friends with the guy. Also, asked the same question to a mechanic. He said its nothing to worry about. Its mainly a silly electronic device that helps makes sure that the EPA is correct on the vehicle. Same reason why the engine ligh...

Thx Scrillanation, I am gonna try that...I just got the car transferred over to me and insured, Wednesday it is going to get the brakes done...it makes an ugly scraping when you hit the brake, I was told it may need new rotors...a friend mentioned that WhiteBox rotors can be got for cheap, but I ha...

Re: New, ISO info. Calling all 500 experts!

Hmmm, that's interesting... does it run better after you clean the throttle body? Or, rather, can a scuzzy throttle body affect the way it runs? It would sometimes do this hesitation thing before going into 2nd, and sometimes do this funny "miss" thing, and it conked out one time after doing that, ...

Hey if you want to blow the bread go ahead. Everytime I customize someones car is two things how long do you plan to keep it. because if your blowing all that money on one part and you plan on getting a new car within three years I would go with the cheapest option that wont damage anything.

Re: New, ISO info. Calling all 500 experts!

Because your car is AWD it is more than likely a CVT. Everyone so far has given you the correct advice on how to fix it. I have a six speed and with those there is no filter or pan its just a drain and fill situation. Your will require a little more attention and it will cost around $200.00. I would...

HOLY CRAP BALLS BATMAN! The Ford Five Hundred Seats are SOOOOO UNCOMFORTABLE!!! Why would you buy this car just for the seats. If thats the case I would buy a Mitsubishi Eclipse or EVO with some nice bucket seats that I could sit in all the way to CALI. If i go to the beach with the family in the 5...

Now did you pull the negative cable on your battery? Your lights shouldn't have stayed on. Leave it off for 3-5 min. Then reinstall the cable.

Re: Cold Air Intake 2005 Ford Five Hundred

The only real option is a aftermarket drop-in performance filter like K&N. There are junk intakes on ebay you could buy but I wouldn't. If you want some performance find a SCT dealer near you and get a tune from them. Really wakes the car up, better all around drive-ability, better gas mileage as l...

Re: 2007 Ford 500 Front Rotor Replacement

T40 is correct but you don't have to keep them in when you replace the rotor. The rotor is secure. They are there during the manufacturing process for safety so they don't fall. Also when you go to the dealer they are there for the same thing nothing else. It is your personal preference if you want ...
