Re: Front end creaking groaning after hiting MASSIVE HOLE.

UPDATE* More help requests So 3 months later and I went in for an oil change yesterday. I was in a rush and just stopped at a goodyear service place. They say the driver side strut is leaking "all over the place" and I should change them all. Since they also suggested changing my shiny new sway bar ...

Re: Engine mount shot

I have been putting off this repair while I decided exactly how to approach it. Interestingly, Have been having the rev problem and it was getting a little nerve wracking since I have a very tight parking spot in my garage at work. A reliable mechanic who has done other work for me, checked out the ...

Crank, turn chug chug die. Turns over but doesn't start.....

Crank, turn, chug chug die. Turns over but doesn't start.....

It sounds like it isn't getting gas.

Has happened about 3 times in six weeks. On last oil change, I had the fuel filter changed but, no help.

Any ideas?

Re: Front end creaking groaning after hiting MASSIVE HOLE.

Checked the steering stops. They were fine , greased them anyway.
Sway bar end links look brand new.
I can't really see the strut mount but, I guess that's the next step.

Re: shocks and struts

IMO I steer clear of the dealer once the car is out of warranty. The prices just aren't justified when a good mechanic will do the work for a lot less.
I suggest looking around for a reputable mechanic who doesn't charge a fortune.

Re: Tranny jumps when shifting from park to drive or reverse

Thanks for the response. I checked the roll restrictor and yes, it is completed shot. I've looked at the other threads RE: the volvo part replacement but without pics, it's hard to tell which part to order. There are a few parts that come up when searching that volvo part #. I guess I'll play it by ...

Tranny jumps when shifting from park to drive or reverse.

Hello guys, 2005 Five Hundred 128,000 mi. I've been noticing my tranny jumps pretty hard when shifting from park to drive or reverse. The problem is very pronounced when the car is cold. After it warms up it shifts very smoothly. I'm wondering if the upper motor mount is the issue? there seems to be...

Front end creaking groaning after hiting MASSIVE HOLE.

Hello guys, First off please forgive the long post. I have a few concerns and I've done a lot of searching but I'm hoping to get some info in one place. 2005 Five Hundred SEL 128,000 mi. A few months ago while driving at highway speed I hit a sewer with no grate. (NYC) The tire was ruined the rim wa...

Where exactly are the steering stops? Any pics for reference?

Don't mean to be a dunce but the green circles seem like the recommended jack location. Am I wrong?

Help PLease! 05 Five Hundred Stereo Install

Hi all, I have an 05 Five Hundred and I am installing an aftermarket head unit. Sirius was installed in the car by Ford. When I started to hook up the wiring harness for the new head unit I saw that the wires from the sirius box were spliced and most of the wires went into a smaller harness. (I had ...
