Re: 2013 Police Interceptor Sedan Hitch?

opinions are like assholes..........

my 47 cadillac sure likes pulling my 16 vette to the strip - and its the envy of guys both half, and twice, my age no matter what kind of truck theyre hauling with.

Re: Cop car fascination?

i think you miss the point....... i dont think theres a 'fascination' with prior service vehicles at all. i think many people realize theyre a great value that almost always come with trustworthy service records, have upgraded mechanicals (even if lacking some electronics), and come at a fraction of...

For visuals,...i welded the bolt in square tube back in lower\flush with the front to back tubing (eh, safety, right?) but you could leave it out edit.... pics are in reverse order WIN_20161001_134049.JPG WIN_20160930_104415.JPG WIN_20160930_104405.JPG WIN_20160930_104358.JPG WIN_20160929_222749.JPG

Re: Rear Seat Help 2013 Interceptor

The square tubing is factory spec for crash protection - as such there is no 'return' to a useable configuration. Part of the tubing reinforcement under seat can be unbolted - the front to back is welded in though. The PI rear seat has channels molded in the foam as a recess around the tubing where ...

Re: New seats from SHO into Interceptor

No, unfortunately not. Although I wonder if maybe my civilian seats weren't ACTUALLY from a 2013 as advertised? The restraint pre-tensioners, passenger seat airbag sensor, and power seat wiring are all different - also, the civilian seats incorporate a handful of modules that either are not included...

Re: My Ongoing 2013 Interceptor Thread

pretty incredible what they want for these interior parts! DAS was a half shady looking site that returned the part number way below everybody elses price so i risked it. my trim piece and harness came through w/out issue ($79 total). it was dasparts.com but was undergoing upgrades-looks like the se...

Re: My Ongoing 2013 Interceptor Thread

edit: just reread your ?. are you thinking that your going to remove the cig plugs from the police console to fill the gap that exists with a civilian center console? if so, ive not seen it done. weve all bought the detective filler piece whose part number is previously posted. i think mine was like...

Re: "Dark Car Feature" on/off with FORscan ?

Looks like the harness and the dash to console trim piece were $79 (which I found to be the best price, by FAR) total through DAS Parts, but it isn't giving me the harness p/n. I can't say whether or not it would work while Dark is ON since I had Dark shutoff by the time I installed the footwell lig...

Re: "Dark Car Feature" on/off with FORscan ?

There are two unused pigtails (well, actually there are many unused pigtails) under the PI lower dash. This guy shows them (0:36 in). I thought I had a picture of the key which shows what each pinout does, but I can't locate it. One of them is "door switch" and is the hot to what would bec...

Re: New to me 2013 interceptor questions

Youre not refering to the map light/upper console light up front, right? You mean the overhead dome/map light? If so, its just a hot and ground (2 wire) setup and super easy. What do you mean pouch mount? I believe the OE interceptor lights were the two color dish lights which imo looked awful and i...

Re: "Dark Car Feature" on/off with FORscan ?

Yep, I did the same. Can also select DRL and how the car behaves when locking via remote.

You can add led strips to the footwell too. One of the unused pigtails has a "door" lead (plenty of grounds).

iirc the keyless lines are in the BCM and IPC. If your car doesn't have those modules........you'd be *%)@Q#*

They just didn't know what they were doing.

IDK. I don't use apple products. If you look up the CAN protocols for OBDLink and it supports the Ford required protocol, I assume you're fine.

Your welcome for the non-answer

Re: Keyless Entry Questions 2015 Police Interceptor

The Forscan hex changes by option are a bit scattered.......I don't think anyone would complain if you condensed them into a thread after you're done :) I'd give you the full coding I used, but I think I've been seeing that there are differences in the code for newer models (I'm a 2013). Since it di...

Re: Alarm system question PI sedan

Lock confirm horn beep and lights can both be done in forscan.......theyre not code lines, just yes\no radio bubbles iirc.

I turned on the parking light flash but not the horn (I always feel like an a** late at night)

They physically 'fit' perfectly, of course.......it's the making them work part that's a bit more work
