The Car of the Month for March 2005 belongs to Simon Clews from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He is known as leapfrog in the forums. To view all the photos of Simon's Five Hundred, check out his photo gallery. From Simon: Car Trim Level:Limited FWD, silver frost clearcoat metalic with black leather and all of the options Modifications:None. Accessories:Official Ford Accessories: The dealer threw in the cargo net. I'm thinking of going for the floor mats and the moonroof deflector. Unoffical Accessories: Bought my first one today as a matter of fact, a 150 watt continuous power DC to AC Power Inverter. Plugs into the DC power outlet (lighter plug) and gives me an AC outlet allowing me to charge my cell phone, run a VCR and 13 inch colour TV, laptop computer, etc. Cost about $40. I'm also thinking of adding a navigation system. What other Fords do you own or have owned? The only other Ford product I've owned is the Ford Focus (2002 wagon). It was actually a 3 year lease vehicle that I just traded in on the Five Hundred. I'm new to leasing and the Ford family, but I'm totally satisfied. Other CommentsI've had a lot of experience with a lot of different cars over the years.
I started with imports, but I've been buying North American for the past
ten years. I have previously owned a '63 Sunbeam Alpine, a '69 Toyota
Corolla, a '70 VW camper van, a '71 BMW 2002, a '64 Jaguar 3.8 Mk II,
a '80 Mazda 626, a '86 Subaru Legacy station wagon and a '94 Pontiac
Sunbird convertible. I really can't say enough nice things about this
car. I've said it before, the Ford Five Hundred is a very good mid-priced
car and I am sure that in a year or two it will be considered one of
if not the best mid to large sized American car of 2005. |
